About Rachel Suzanne Beck
Hello. Here is a little bit about me. I grew up in Colorado in the Four Corners area. I have always loved to draw since I was a child. It wasn't until 2015 that I decided to try painting. I took a class with Edward Aldrich an excellent wildlife artist who specializes in painting with oil. After that I couldn't stop painting and have enjoyed it immensely for the past 3 years. I started painting things I saw in the nearby area. It was a little of everything, old cars, farms, cows and horses. Soon after, I tried painting landscapes. Unfortunately, I realized how many people were painting landscapes. I really wanted to stand out and be different and to do that I decided to paint nighttime scenes. I really like nighttime, it's a mysterious and magical time and an also overlooked time. Most people don't appreciate it or even think of night very often. I embellished some of the colors a little however, for the most part, stayed true to the scene. I have done quite a few pieces, mostly of our National Parks near the Four Corners area. In the near future I hope to add more and more to this site. I love to paint and draw animals as well as people. I can paint or draw just about anything it is fun and full of endless possibilities. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I did creating it.
